I swear to god jared....
From last thread.
My only gripe with the officiating is that it the inconsistency. I saw both teams do one thing, that was let go. Then later it was totally reversed.
I know that this is par for the course, but I mean consistency is attainable. Perfect officiating is impossible, but we've seen plenty of games in the past where they can at least consistent in their officiating.
How many times did we, as Sens fans, watch teams over the years that would get oodles of chances, and get buried by terrible goal-tending.
Whether this system is sustainable on thursday will remain to be seen, but I'm not complaining right now.

The playoffs have become a gong show. The only thing that is consistent is that all the series have been brutally officiated.
I was actually laughing at parts of the game yesterday, not just shaking my head and laughing in disbelief, I was laughing at what was happening on the ice. It was pretty humorous.

The dream lives on! Preds-Sens bird free final!
Crowd was great and nice to see this team bounce back again. |

The Senators are continuously underestimated by almost everybody. Hopefully, they will ignore the noise and get it done in Pittsburgh. |

The officiating is BS. The amount of control the refs have over the momentum and possible outcome of these games is staggering. And they're always so phucking arrogant and irritating: watching a linesman lecture the players on how to take a face-off for the 500th time is mind-numbing. Also, we had to use a Coach's Challenge to get that BS goal overturned? Seriously? If that was any where near Murray it would have been whistled dead like 10 minutes ago.
Also, I agree with whomever said this in the last thread... the Sens have to bring more hate to the finale. They'll be up against it in a sea of yellow, so they need to do as much damage as possible. Last chance so just let it all hang out - hit, slash or cross-check anything that moves. Dish out same as you get.
Go Sens Go.

That had to be one of the most poorly officiated playoff games I've ever seen. I'm always down to rip on Sidney Crosby, but he was straight up abused last night. Pens got screwed multiple times. |

The NHL embarrasses itself with its officiating.
What's a penalty all regular season is allowed to go uncalled in the playoffs.
What's a penalty in the first period is allowed to go uncalled in the 3rd period.
No other sport would randomize how their officials enforce the rules. Can you imaging defensive backs having free reign to interfere with receivers in football because it was the 4th quarter? Can you imagine umpires shrinking their strike zones late in games because they don't want to decide a game by calling somebody out on strikes.
Only the NHL leaves everybody guessing on what the rules are at the most important time of the season. |

Ahahahaha.. you're funny. Perhaps you were peeing during the flagrant Ryan trip in the slot. Or when Malkin crossed-checked the $hit out of Hoffman. Or when EK65 was face-planted in the boards with a cross-check from behind. Etc.
Go Sens Go!

This is it. In a vacuum, the call against Hainsey was weak. But the truth is they let a ton of stuff go that they could have called instead so I can't get mad about it. Every single game you can find a ton of calls that aren't made against either team, you just have to move past that because that is rhe garbage league officiating we have to deal with.
Pens absolutely had their chances to win, but Anderson had a monster game and the Sens capitalized on a couple of theirs. Cole can't slash a guy in the face when already down a man. As a Pens fan who watched my team win it's last series this way and not get credit I won't be a hypocrite and say the Sens didn't earn that win.
Last round I felt all through the Caps were the better team but the Pens were good enough to upset them and they did. This round I feel the opposite, the Sens have earned my respect can absolutely win even though I still fabor the Pens chances. Regardless, hope you are all proud of your team they deserve it. |

Stop the presses!! I am sure that Jeremy Roenick and Sportsnet will send out an urgent release soon, but tomorrow's game in PITT is not yet sold out...... A game 7 in the home of the defending champions?? The earth is falling, fans must not care about their team etc.. It's even funnier when you add in resale tickets, then like half of the building is still available |

There are a handful of Pens fans that are using the officiating as an excuse and arr posting repeatedly. Most if us are giving credit to the Sens and especially Anderson for the win, we just aren't posting it 10 times. Good goaltending isn't being lucky, Sens deserved this. |

Fair point. I agree, just like I don't think you guys were lucky beating the capitals. Fleury played terrific when he had to. |

I'm sure the NHL is cringing at the thought of a Preds/Sens final... but seriously, I hope it happens. I would be OK with either of the Preds or Sens winning the Cup vs. Pitt getting ANOTHER one.. |

Yeah I was more joking about how big of a deal everyone has been making about last nights game in OTT (and game 4, which was sold out anyway) but last nights crowd was like 18000 and one of the loudest, craziest crowds I have ever seen. |
